Broncos Briefs: Play-caller Pat Shurmur says offense will continue to be aggressive throwing downfield

In his first seven NFL starts, Broncos quarterback Drew Lock completed only 8-of-30 passes for 204 yards on attempts that traveled at least 16 air yards.

But in Sunday’s win over New England, the Broncos’ offense became Air Drew — he attempted 11 passes that traveled at least 16 air yards, completing four for 109 yards (two interceptions).

And offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur is fine with the boldness.

“We felt like we had to be aggressive and we have to be that way against everybody we play,” Shurmur said after practice Thursday.
