Broncos Briefs: Injuries depleting defensive line depth entering Chiefs game

The Broncos ruled out five injured players for Sunday’s game at Kansas City: Right guard Ron Leary (concussion), right tackle Ja’Wuan James (knee), receiver Juwann Winfree (hamstring), and defensive ends Adam Gotsis (knee) and DeMarcus Walker (ankle).

Tight end Noah Fant (hip/foot), defensive end Dre’Mont Jones (ankle) and inside linebacker Joe Jones (back) are listed as questionable.

Winfree was placed on injured reserve Friday, making room for defensive lineman Kyle Peko, who announced on Twitter he was joining the Broncos.

The Broncos needed defensive line help after losing Derek Wolfe (elbow) against the Los Angeles Chargers, followed by the current injuries to Walker, Gotsis and Dre’Mont Jones.
