Broncos Briefs: Coaches sticking with cornerback Davontae Harris despite struggles against Minnesota

Benched for the final eight snaps of last week’s loss to Minnesota, cornerback Davontae Harris will remain the starter opposite Chris Harris when the Broncos play at Buffalo on Sunday.

Per The Denver Post’s game charting, Davontae Harris allowed eight completions for 90 yards, including a 10-yard touchdown, in 12 man-coverage targets. He was replaced for the final two possessions by Isaac Yiadom.

“Each week, we’re working with (Harris) and he’s improving,” defensive coordinator Ed Donatell said before practice Thursday. “He’s going to have some spells where there will be setbacks. It’s our job to keep coaching him, make him comfortable and relieve any of that anxiety.
