Broncos agree to terms with punter Marquette King on a three-year contract

Marquette King will need to find an alternative to his bucking Bronco punt celebration.

The former Raiders punter visited the Broncos on Thursday and quickly agreed to a three-year contract with his former AFC West rivals, the team announced.

A sixth-year player who signed with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent in 2012, King is the only player in NFL history to record at least a 40-yard net punting average in each of his first five seasons.

He won the Raiders’ starting punting job in 2013 and, the following season, led the NFL in punts (109) and punting yards (4,930), both of which are Raiders records.
