Broncos activate CB Bryce Callahan, place OLB Malik Reed on COVID-19/reserve list

The Broncos will have nickel back Bryce Callahan back Sunday against Detroit for the first time since Oct. 31, but won’t have starting outside linebacker Malik Reed.

Reed became the third Broncos player in 24 hours to be placed on their COVID-19/reserve list, joining running back Mike Boone and safety P.J. Locke.

Callahan, cornerback Michael Ojemudia and inside linebacker Micah Kiser were activated from injured reserve Saturday to take their roster spots.

Callahan (knee) was activated to return from injured reserve Wednesday and has practiced three times. Ojemudia (hamstring injury Aug. 21 at Seattle) returned to practice Nov.
