Bill Bowlen asks court to remove trustees who control Broncos

The brother of Denver Broncos principal owner Pat Bowlen has asked a court to remove three trustees who control the team as agents of his sibling.

In a statement, Bill Bowlen said he asked a Colorado district court to remove team president Joe Ellis, Broncos general counsel Rich Slivka and attorney Mary Kelly from the Pat Bowlen Trust.

"I have real concerns with these trustees, their conduct and how they got to the positions they are in. They have little or no accountability to anybody but themselves. They have not complied with the rules of the NFL and I am uncomfortable with the way they have handled my brother's affairs.
