MIAMI — Former Broncos safety Steve Atwater was scheduled to arrive here Thursday, two days ahead of the vote to determine the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2020.
He hopes to stay until Monday.
If Atwater is elected in his third time as a finalist, he will attend Sunday’s San Francisco-Kansas City Super Bowl and be honored on the field. If he is denied, he will fly home to Denver on Sunday.
