Amy Van Dyken-Rouen to be honored by Broncos at AFC championship game

The Broncos are honoring six-time Olympic champion swimmer Amy Van Dyken-Rouen Sunday at the AFC championship game against the New England Patriots at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

Van Dyken-Rouen, wife of former Broncos punter and two-time Super Bowl champion Tom Rouen, will be honored as the Broncos Country Hero, the team said.

Van Dyken-Rouen posted to her Twitter account that she was extremely excited.

Just found out the @Broncos are having me to the game on Sunday!! I’m so excited I could scream. #GoBroncos #ImSoLucky

Van Dyken-Rouen injured her spinal cord in a 2014 ATV crash in Arizona, leaving her paralyzed from the waist down.
