Longtime Denver Post sports journalist Mike Klis has left the newspaper and will join KUSA-Channel 9 as a Broncos reporter, Joanne Ostrow confirmed Thursday.
Klis has been covering the Broncos since 2005 and has broken dozens of stories in the decade since then. He will start at 9NEWS on Monday.
According to KSUA's Linda Kotsaftis, Klis has won numerous Associated Press Sports Editors awards and was a two-time recipient of the Colorado Sportswriter of the Year award from the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association. He's also appeared regularly as a radio (105.
