The last time Denver had a worse start, Mike Shanahan was coming off a 26-10 shellacking to the Kansas City Chiefs in his first post-Elway season. The 1999 Broncos would fall to 0-4 and lose Terrell Davis for the season before squeaking by the Oakland Raiders 16-13 in week five.
