The Latest Broncos Free Agency Rumors And News: Russell Okung Contract Details, Ryan Clady Trade

NFL Free Agency is officially here, and the next few days will feature a few Denver Broncos rumors. The Broncos have lost plenty of talent and are in the process of finding replacements. With that in mind, here are all of the interesting rumors and news tidbits on the Broncos

Russell Okung Signs
The Denver Broncos have added OT Russell Okung and it's a rather interesting contract.

While that type of deal has happened before, it's not a very common one. The Broncos needed OL help and landed one of the most talented players, although Okung has battled injuries. Those injuries are likely why Okung is getting the type of deal he is. Okung will start at left tackle.

Denver To Trade Ryan Clady?
The Broncos had been trying to work out renegotiation with Clady, but the addition of Okung complicates that.

Clady has battled injuries in recent years and is set to have a $10 million base salary. Donald Stephenson is expected to start at right tackle for Denver. The Broncos can save all of that by cutting the former first round pick, and they might do that if they can't find a taker. If a trade is arraigned, Clady would likely be asked to take a pay cut by his new team.

Colin Kaepernick Update
Kaepernick has been the subject of plenty of rumors this offseason and they might not stop for quite a bit. The 49ers have had discussions with the Jets, Browns and Broncos about a possible trade. The Browns and Broncos are the major players, but no one appears ready to budge, reports CSN Bay Area

"There’s a good chance he’s still on the team the way things look now," a source told CSNBayArea.com. The source said the Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns or New York Jets -- teams currently without starting quarterbacks -- have not shown much urgency to acquire Kaepernick in a trade. The 49ers are holding tight in their trade demand, believed to be a second- or early third-round draft pick.

The Broncos are searching for a replacement for Brock Osweiler, with Mark Sanchez likely serving as the veteran backup when the team finds a younger QB. The 49ers will seemingly need to make a decision by April 1st, when Kaepernick's $11.9 million base salary becomes fully guaranteed. CSN Bay Area reports the team will not cut him and that are prepared for him to compete for the starting QB job.
