Halftime Quick Hitters: Denver Up 21-10 Over Kansas City

The Broncos and the Chiefs make for one of Week 2's best matchups, and this AFC West rivalry showdown gave us an extremely entertaining first half.

Here's what we saw in the first two quarters:

Kansas City Hanging Around

The Chiefs lost a shocker on opening day against Tennessee, but looked better in the first half against Denver. Allowing a late Demariyus Thomas TD hurt, but Kansas City isn't out of this one yet.

Eric Berry's Injury A Concern

Arguably Kansas City's best defensive player, Berry was instrumental in limiting Peyton Manning through the air...but an ankle injury took him out late in the second quarter. The Broncos capitalized with a touchdown to go up 21-10, and the Chiefs secondary will have a much tougher day if Berry can't return.

Jamaal Charles Out

Jamaal Charles is also out with an ankle injury, but the Chiefs still managed to rack up over 100 rushing yards in the first half without him. With Kansas City playing from behind, they'll likely try to move the ball through the air, but a player like Charles will always be missed.

The Broncos Look Sharp

Denver went down 10-7 early in the second quarter, but continued playing their game en route to a 21-10 halftime lead. Peyton Manning is having a typical Peyton Manning half, with three touchdown passes and 191 yards on 15/19 passing overall.
