Following torrential rain throughout the day, the Washington Spirit’s game against the Houston Dash was abandoned due to poor field conditions. The game will be re-scheduled. One option for the new date is tomorrow, Sunday July 22, but due to complicated travel logistics for Houston, it could be a later day.

Right at 7pm, just moments before players would normally have emerged to take the field, referee Elvis Osmanovic and his crew determined that the field was simply not playable.
