For the first time in six months, the U.S. women’s national soccer team is getting a shot of Triple Espresso.
U.S. Coach Emma Hayes named Washington Spirit forward Trinity Rodman to the 26-player squad that will face Portugal in two friendlies and also play an exhibition against New Zealand this month. The 23-year-old has not played for the national team since she scored in an April 5 win over Brazil, after which she took a 3½-month absence from the Spirit to manage a chronic back injury.
