Trinity Rodman dodges disaster, diagnosed with MCL sprain

The forward will sit out U.S. women’s national team camp but could be back with the Spirit ahead of the NWSL playoffs.

Washington Spirit star Trinity Rodman suffered a minor MCL sprain in a Concacaf W Champions Cup match, Coach Adrián González said Friday afternoon, alleviating fears that the 23-year-old forward would be sidelined long term and raising the possibility that she could return ahead of the NWSL playoffs.
