D.C. United have apparently expressed an interest in Mark Beevers, a 29-year-old center back playing at Bolton Wanderers. Before we go any further, it should be noted that one of these reports comes from The Sun (the other comes from Daily Mirror reporter Alan Nixon who says Beevers has MLS interest but does not name D.C.). If you’re not aware of the Sun’s tendency to well, create things, then this is your nota bene of this.
That said, there’s a bit of circumstance that may be worth keeping an eye on here.
