Real Madrid, a 12-time European champion seeking its third consecutive continental trophy this spring, will play Italian titan Juventus on Aug. 4 at FedEx Field in Landover, Md.
The match is part of the sixth annual International Champions Cup, a preseason exhibition tournament for many of the soccer world’s biggest clubs. Organizers announced the full schedule Tuesday, with 17 matches at 14 U.S. venues, plus 16 in five European markets and Singapore.
The U.S. field includes, among others, two league winners (Manchester City and Bayern Munich); two league leaders (Barcelona and Juventus); and all four UEFA Champions League semifinalists (Real Madrid, Bayern, Liverpool and Roma).
