Loudoun United’s slow start haunts in 3-0 to Pittsburgh

The Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC have built a fortress at home, suffering two 1-0 losses at Highmark Stadium over the last two years, even as the last one occurred in a July stoppage time loss. So Loudoun had the cards stacked against them, and a slow start cost them in the midst of a 3-0 loss at Highmark Stadium.

Loudoun brought 17-year-old Issa Mudashiru to Pittsburgh and gave him his first minutes at start as a professional. Even with the new start, Shane Wiedt fouled Mark Forrest in a clearance attempt in the Loudoun area, which Joshua Encarnacion ruled as a penalty.
