It was a slow news day yesterday, with D.C. United following up gameday with an off day. But that doesn’t mean nothing happened, particularly with the Washington Spirit. Let’s get to it, shall we?

The Spirit say that Kaiya McCullough asked to be waived so she could sign with an (as yet unnamed) European club and get more playing time. It makes sense for her, but it’s a shame a player who has made a real impact off the field is moving on nonetheless.
