One day after scoring the winning goal in an FA Cup upset, forward Haji Wright on Sunday was added to the U.S. men’s national soccer team for this week’s Concacaf Nations League finals in greater Dallas.
Wright and forward Brenden Aaronson were named as injury replacements for midfielder Luca de la Torre (right quadriceps strain) and forward Josh Sargent (right ankle irritation).
The U.S. team will open training camp on Monday ahead of Thursday’s semifinal against Jamaica at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Tex. Mexico and Panama will clash in the other semifinal.
