D.C. United winger Paul Arriola might join Swansea City for the remainder of the English second-division season, a move that likely would overlap with the start of the MLS campaign and could result in a permanent transfer.
United General Manager Dave Kasper said Friday that the sides will again discuss the proposed short-term loan soon. In English leagues, the deadline for such transactions is Feb. 1.
“It’s an ongoing discussion,” Kasper said. “They are up against a clock with the [transfer] deadline. So it’s something obviously we’ll be engaging with Swansea in the coming days.
