MLS announced the complete 2016 regular season schedule Thursday, a 340-match calendar that will begin March 6, take a break during the first stage of Copa America this summer, include the All-Star Game in late July in San Jose, play during some FIFA windows but not others, and conclude Oct. 23 with all clubs in action at the same time.
Because the 20 home openers were announced before Christmas, many teams knew their first few matches well before Thursday’s announcement. (D.C. United’s first three were set early.)
