D.C. United continued its late-season surge Saturday, coming from behind on the road to defeat Toronto FC, 2-1, for a third victory in a week.
Starting for the second time in 14 matches, Lamar Neagle scored twice as United (10-9-13) stretched its unbeaten streak to five and hopped over Montreal and Philadelphia for fourth place in MLS’s Eastern Conference. Six teams will advance to the playoffs.
“We’re on a high right now,” goalkeeper Bill Hamid said. “We’ve just got to keep it up.”
United had not won on the road since late May at Kansas City.
