D.C. United fires Troy Lesesne as coach after U.S. Open Cup loss to Nashville

Club has lined up a permanent replacement, but that coach’s identity is not yet known; top assistant Zach Prince is also dismissed

D.C. United did not give Troy Lesesne much to work with this season, but the second-year coach didn’t get much out of what he had on the roster either. And so late Wednesday, after United was ousted from the U.S. Open Cup tournament, the MLS organization fired him, according to two people close to the situation.
