Good morning! There isn’t a ton to catch up on from yesterday, but here’s what I’ve got:

Julian Gressel got to announce the big news: D.C. United’s academy is no longer pay-to-play. Players previously had to pay fees ranging between $1,500 and $2,500 per season, which means the club is most likely choosing to do the right thing at a financial loss. I know there’s a lot of speculation about transfer fees and solidarity payments making up for it, but they already got to keep transfer fees, and solidarity payments are very small for the most part.
