D.C. United could preview starting lineup for MLS opener at preseason test in Las Vegas

D.C. United is in Las Vegas for the final preseason test and, judging by Ben Olsen’s patterns through training camp, the current injury situation and the timing of the match, Saturday’s starters will probably retain their places for next weekend’s opener at Orlando City.

The 20 players who appeared in Wednesday’s friendly against the second-tier Jacksonville Armada in Clearwater, Fla., traveled west for the meeting against the second-flight Las Vegas Lights at Cashman Field (11 p.m. Eastern time, live stream on dcunited.com).

Four players returned to Washington: third-choice goalkeeper Travis Worra, reserve midfielder Jared Jeffrey and injured regulars Taylor Kemp (hernia recovery) and Russell Canouse (sprained knee).
