D.C. United assistant reportedly joining Minnesota United

According to a report from ESPN, it looks like D.C. United assistant coach Amos Magee may be returning to his hometown to become the director of player personal for Minnesota United. Magee looks set to be one of the key assistants to Minnesota United sporting director Manny Lagos, and his main role will be to provide advice on MLS players as the team moves through the labyrinthine first offseason with MLS player acquisition methods.

Magee was raised in St. Paul, and played for the Minnesota Thunder, a predecessor club of Minnesota United, for 12 years. He is also the team’s leading scorer, and for his efforts with the club was inducted into the USL Hall of Fame.
