Danny Hoesen from the San Jose Earthquakes was the 1st pick in the 2020 MLS Expansion Draft for newcomers Austin FC. The Anthony Precourt-owned team also drafted Jared Stroud (New York Red Bulls), Brady Scott (Nashville SC), Joe Corona (LA Galaxy), and Kamal Miller (Orlando City).
