COLUMBUS - Ken Hitchcock didn’t want to hear about the good side Thursday night.
But you do.
Yes, the Stars lost in a shootout, 2-1, to a Columbus team that was returning from the bye week. Yes, the Stars couldn’t dent back-up goalie Joonas Korpisalo. Yes, Dallas missed opportunities in the third period, the overtime and the shootout where it could have made plays that resulted in a win.
But, this still was a major step forward for a team that probably couldn’t have taken a point out of this game a month ago.
“Don’t talk to me about a point,” Hitchcock said, only half playfully.
