On paper, the Stars should be one of the better overtime teams in the NHL.
With the highly-skilled trio of Jamie Benn, Tyler Seguin and John Klingberg available to take advantage of the open ice in the three-on-three overtime period, Dallas has the ability to score in an instant. The problem is they also have the ability to get scored on, and that's been the case most times this season.
The Stars entered Friday's game against Los Angeles 1-7 in overtime this season, so getting a 3-2 win in the extra period was huge. Still, Dallas is now tied with Anaheim (0-5), for worst win-loss differential in overtime.
