One of my favorite Ken Hitchcock stories involves an early interactions with the future Hall of Fame coach, and it stands as one of the legacies I believe he wants to leave with the Dallas Stars.
It was a quiet off-day skate in Anaheim during his first season as head coach in 1996, and his thick Canadian accent echoed throughout the empty arena.
"I'll tell you this, I am not interested in coaching a [bleeping] .500 team," he shouted at his new troops. "So if you want to play for a [bleeping] .500 team, you can just leave right now.
