What happened in Vegas can't stay there if Stars are to continue to improve on the road

In his team's two most recent road games -- blowout losses at Tampa Bay and Colorado -- the Stars coach said he saw the foundation being poured for a rock-solid road game.

It was just "those" moments.

That shorthanded goal against the Lightning that shook the team's confidence and created an electrical storm of goals against in a 6-1 loss Nov. 16. That 10-second span against the Avalanche that led to an odd-man rush and an eventual "set piece" goal with 0.2 seconds left in last Wednesday's 3-0 loss. The mental breakdowns from which the Stars couldn't recover in both games.
