Two years ago, Brett Ritchie's production matched likes of Connor McDavid, Patrick Kane. Here's how he hopes to get it back.

FRISCO -- Brett Ritchie has scored goals at every level of hockey he's played. As a teenager, he lit up the Ontario Hockey League. As a professional, he flirted at times with becoming a point-per-game player in the American Hockey League. Even in the NHL, he netted 16 goals just two seasons ago.

It's Ritchie's potential to score goals that made him a second-round pick in 2011, and it's his size that could help him become a fourth-liner for the Stars when the regular season opens Oct. 4 against Arizona. Now, he's got to move past a disappointing seven-goal season last year that followed the 16-goal campaign in 2016-17.
