The numbers behind the plight of the Dallas Stars season: Road games

The Stars will finish the season tied for the worst road winning percentage since they moved to Dallas in 1993, going 12-24-5 and matching the mark set in 1995-96.

But Dallas will finish with at least nine more points than the 1995-96 squad because it has been much better at home. The Stars sit 19th in home record at 20-12-6 and finish the season with three home games. While the performance at American Airlines Center has been good but not great, it emphasizes just how bad the Stars have been on the road.

Dallas has a 120-106 advantage in home scoring and has been outscored 144-93 on the road.
