Texas Stars Add Their First ATO, Jerad Rosburg

It's March, which means it's ATO season. The Stars signed their first amateur tryout today, Jerad Rosburg, a defenseman out of Michigan State. Amateur tryouts can play out the rest of the season in the AHL after their amateur seasons are over. Rosburg also happens to have signed an ELC for next year with Dallas.

Texas has its top seven defensemen set right now, but you also don't sign ATOs to not play at least a few games. Unless Texas is very high on Rosburg, I would imagine he comes in under an 11-7 alignment only.

Here's the release:

Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has signed defenseman Jerad Rosburg to a one-year, entry-level contract.
