Texas Notches 'Galvanizing' Win Over Rockford, 3-2 in Shootout

Neither team ever led by more than a goal in a back-and-forth affair tonight in Cedar Park. The Texas Stars extended their home point streak to 10 games with a shootout win after coming back from behind in the third period. Denis Gurianov had a pair of goals, and Joel L'Esperance scored his 20th of the season.

"It was a really good hockey game tonight," said Coach Derek Laxdal. "This was a galvanization win because we had to battle back."

The Stars had two one-goal leads melt away with late period goals in the first and second periods, sending them to both intermissions tied when they had every right to be ahead.
