Texas Loses Franchise-Worst Tenth Straight with Lopsided 8-4 Defeat

The last time out in Manitoba, Texas played a solid game but ended up with a less than ideal result. No such soothing words could be used to describe the debacle in Toronto this afternoon. The Marlies torched Texas in the second period, tallying six goals en route to an 8-4 victory over the visiting Stars.

The loss extends the franchise's worst ever losing streak to ten games, 0-9-0-1. It keeps them in last place in the league and makes them one of only two teams yet to achieve a double-digit point total.

Texas had a good first 23 minutes of the game, tying up the score at 2 on Michael Mersch's second of the night.
