The first win of the Toby Petersen era Texas Stars will have to wait at least one more day. Though the Stars earned their first point of the 2025-26 season, they fell in overtime to the Rockford IceHogs 2-1 Friday night at the BMO Center.
Remi Poirier made 23 saves on 25 shots while Antonio Stranges scored his second goal of the year, but it was Rockford’s Oliver Moore who made the difference in the contest. Chicago’s first round pick (19th overall) in 2023 opened the scoring for the IceHogs early in the first period and closed it out in overtime to put Rockford over the top.
