Most recently, Texas dropped the play-in series to the Hogs in 2022. Rockford was also the very first playoff opponent Texas ever faced in 2010.
The Stars would have probably rather had Iowa, if they could have picked. Their record against the Hogs is far more mixed. Texas finished the regular season series 3-2-3-0, with a 2-1-1-0 record at home and a 1-1-2-0 record in Illinois.
