Texas Breaks Out of Scoring Slump to Down San Jose 7-2

Seven goals from six different goal scorers help pace the Stars to a 7-2 victory in their first of four games in San Jose tonight. The game was over seemingly just as quickly as it started. Texas grabbed a stranglehold of the scoreboard in the first period and never relented.

Everything that had been going wrong turned around, it seemed. The power play, stuck in neutral since visiting Cleveland, scored three times on four chances. The 12-13-14 line had three goals among them, and Adam Mascherin returned to second place among all AHL goal scorers with 15 on the year.
