On Saturday September 8th, current Dallas Stars defenseman Stephen Johns and legendary alumnus goaltender Marty Turco participated in the annual sled hockey charity game hosted by the Dallas Sled Stars, the Southwest Wheelchair Athletic Association, and the Dallas Stars Foundation.
Each year, the SWAA, Dallas Sled Stars, and Dallas Stars Foundation hold a sled hockey charity game against the Texas Sled Hockey team to raise awareness and funds for the new season.
The game was spirited, full of laughs and fun, with both Johns and Turco scoring a goal a piece and an assist or two in the Dallas Sled Stars’ 4-2 win over Texas Sled Hockey.
