This time, the analytics paid off.

Dallas entered the game leading the league in shot differential and once again had the better of the chances.

But this time the Stars won.

Dallas took a 4-2 victory against the Detroit Red Wings Tuesday at American Airlines Center, moving to 1-2-0 on the season. That's important, because St. Louis is off to a 4-0-0 start, and Dallas needed both points and confidence.
