The education of John Klingberg is not an easy book to read.
It's also not finished.
That was clear Saturday when the 24-year-old defenseman was on the ice for two key goals against in a 5-3 loss to Chicago. On one, he allowed Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane to slip around him to score the tying goal. On the other, he was part of a systemic problem that included breakdowns at every level.
However, coach Lindy Ruff believes if Klingberg could have read some of the key signs of his teammates, he might have prevented what would turn into the game-winning goal.
