Stars Searching for Answers After 8-2 Blowout Loss to Rampage

Halloween is in the rearview mirror, but the San Antonio Rampage turned their building into a house of horrors for the Texas Stars on Saturday night, blowing them out 8-2 and setting a new team record for goal against their I-35 rival.

Blue chip prospect Jake Oettinger had a rough outing in net and was pulled in the third period after his sixth goal allowed.

The Stars scored the first goal, John Nyberg’s first of the season, but never threatened much after ceding three unanswered in the first period.

Stars head coach Derek Laxdal commented after Friday night’s loss that the time for teaching was just about over.
