WHISTLER, B.C. - The Stars woke up Saturday morning with the most efficient power play in the league at 32.4 percent.
That's a nice sign when they ranked 20th last season at 17.9 percent.
Of course, you do have to temper the enthusiasm a little when you consider this is a small sample size of 11 games and they've scored five power play goals in the past two games - that will change the numbers in a hurry.
You can support your enthusiasm, however, with the knowledge that Ken Hitchcock's teams in St. Louis had the third best power play in the league at 20.
