Stars play their 'best 60 minutes' of the season, bury Sabres 5-1

After a grueling, 11-day, five-game road trip, the Stars returned home on Friday. But after so long, Stars coach Ken Hitchcock said it kind of felt like another road game: another city to fly to, another arena.

That wasn't a bad thing. The only thing Hitchcock didn't like on the road trip was his team's record: 2-3.

In a sense, the Stars had a chance to bring that to .500 on Saturday. They didn't waste it.

Dallas scored four first-period goals in less than 10 minutes en route to burying the Sabres, 5-1.

"It's hard when you're coming off the road to have come back games," Hitchcock said.
