As Mike Heika notes, the Dallas Stars acquired the rights to LA Kings goalie Ben Bishop on Tuesday.
Bishop's hockey career started when he was 18 years old as a member of the Texas Tornado in 2004-2005, where he served as the goalie for the Frisco-based NAHL team.
While his stats were impressive -- he was 35-8-2 in 45 games and posted a 1.93 GAA -- his lasting memory from his first stint in the Lone Star State was most definitely his participation in a brawl that ended with him taking out Santa Fe RoadRunners goalie Ryan Hatch.
