In the Dallas Stars overtime win versus the Los Angeles Kings the night before the league break for the Christmas holiday, Antonie Roussel was held out due to injury. The Stars rolled a roster of 11 forwards and 7 defensemen instead of the usual 12 forwards and 6 defensemen most teams dress for each game.
It seems that his injury is one that could keep him out for another game. Late last night, the Stars announced that they have placed Roussel on IR retroactive to December 20th and recalled forward Jason Dickinson from the Texas Stars.
The move is not unsurprising, as the team goes on the road today to take on the Arizona Coyotes.
