Stars forward Andrew Cogliano laments missed opportunities against Carolina: 'If they don't go in, they don't mean anything'

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Stars forward Andrew Cogliano could have put his stamp on the Stars' 3-0 loss to Carolina on Saturday night with a pair of golden chances in front of the Hurricanes net.

Petr Mrazek had other plans. The Hurricanes goaltender made two huge saves on Cogliano, and 33 overall, to shut out the Stars and hand Dallas its fourth loss in the last five games.

"Those chances that we're seeing at times, they don't come that often at this time of the year," Cogliano said. "Count them all you want in terms of the opportunities, but if they don't go in, they don't mean anything.
