Stars' chance to repeat Central Division success comes early, could set pace for the rest of the season

DENVER -- It's simple to put into words, not as simple to do on the ice, but it might be the No. 1 reason the Stars' turned things around last season.

They ran roughshod over the Central Division, posting a 19-7-3 record.

That, in itself, might have been enough to secure a playoff spot. The fact they were so good they won their first division crown in a decade underscored the accomplishment that much more.
